About the game

Dancing with Ghosts is a cozy narrative life-sim from HumaNature Studios, written by Greg Johnson of ToeJam & Earl. A gentle ghost story about learning to live after loss, with a Thai dance rhythm game and small cultural minigames along the way. Early Access on Steam from 8 October 2026, and the free demo is out now.

The campaign

StreamQuest x HumaNature Studios

Meet Mai, a grieving girl, and Pim, a little ghost who has lost her memories but none of her joy. Explore a Thai river village, help your neighbors, cook, dance and earn the good karma that brings Pim's memories back.

Created by Greg Johnson, the designer behind ToeJam & Earl, Dancing with Ghosts draws on his experience of loss and his family's connection to Thailand. It is a warm, often funny story about friendship and finding your way back to happiness.

We are looking for hosts who enjoy stories and bring their community along: creators who follow the dialogue, react honestly and give chat a say. You do not need to be a dedicated cozy creator.

At times I felt like I wanted this game to feel like a reassuring hug for people who need it... For everyone else, I hope they just enjoy a sweet funny ghost story and some great mini-games.

Why it streams

Key features

Let chat choose Mai's words. Every conversation gives you two ways to answer, and there are no wrong picks.

Thai dance is a real rhythm game, with proper timing and several difficulties. Let chat pick one and cheer you through the song.

Play as both girls. As Pim you drift into villagers' thoughts and hear what they quietly wish for, then bring it back to Mai so she can help.

Small, calm minigames to talk over: rolling roti, making som tum, fishing, ferrying neighbors down the river, scooter deliveries.

Funny first, with real feeling underneath. Let the jokes land and give the quieter scenes a moment of room.

A village with real roots, drawn by Thai artists. Expect questions from chat about the food, the dance and the traditions.

Silver needs one side quest, Gold needs all three. The Ludeo moments belong to the main mission, so they do not count here.

A Moment Worth Sharing
Post a short clip from your stream on your own social channel.
A funny Pim exchange, an act of kindness, a dance attempt or a genuine reaction: something that gives people a reason to meet Mai and Pim. Avoid major story spoilers. Mention Dancing with Ghosts and tag @dancingwithghostsgame on Instagram or TikTok, or @DancingWithGhostsGame on YouTube.

Put the tracked Steam wishlist link on your channel and give the game a shoutout.

Take the Dance Floor
Play one full Thai dance song in the Steam demo.
Let chat help choose the difficulty, give it a proper go and tell them how it went. If chat is quiet, pick the difficulty yourself. You do not need a perfect score. It has to be in the demo, on top of any dance moment you played through Ludeo.

Who we approve

Engaged hosts who enjoy stories and bring their community along: story, cozy, adventure and variety creators who follow the dialogue, react naturally, give emotional scenes room to land and handle grief with care while enjoying the humor. Enjoyed Venba, Spiritfarer or A Space for the Unbound? Say so in your application. We look at recent broadcasts and community fit alongside your tier, not follower count alone. Silent gameplay, routinely skipping dialogue or using sensitive scenes for shock content are poor fits.

Viewers and tiers

Your tier follows your recent average concurrent viewers (CCV) across your last streams: Bronze from 5, Silver from 15, Gold from 50. Silver and Gold also need the matching StreamQuest tier unlocked on your account, the rank you build up by completing quests. If you are a bigger creator and do not have that tier unlocked yet, get in touch with the mods in the StreamQuest Discord before you apply. Gold is for T1 regions only: the European Union, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Australia and New Zealand.

Before you go live

Wait for approval, then check your accepted Quest for the dates, duration and tier requirements. Test all three Ludeo links on desktop and install the Steam demo before you stream. Use the required sponsorship disclosure, and give viewers the short content heads-up about grief and loss.

Proof

Submit your Twitch VOD in the Creator Dashboard with timestamps for each of the three Ludeo moments and the Steam demo segment, showing at least 1 hour of active campaign gameplay for Bronze or 2 hours for Silver and Gold. Include proof that you shared the three links in chat, plus the proof for each side quest. Keep your VOD available until it is verified.
